19th May 2016
On 19th May, Curo Compensation and Verditer hosted a popular Coffee & Comp event which was attended by almost 100 people.
The breakfast and coffee morning was designed to introduce businesses to the idea of gender pay reporting and understand how the new legislation will affect them. Curo’s Lead Consultant, Ruth Thomas, and Verditer’s Julia Hanna discussed the new legislation, shared practical tips on how to respond, create an action plan and protect your company’s reputation.
There was an excellent and informative discussion after the presentation with insightful observations and comments from many members of the audience.
Did you know that it would take 47 years to narrow the gender pay gap at current rates of progress?! We have come a long way but there is still lots of work to be done – which is why the UK will now be carefully monitoring the pay gap in both private and public sector organisations
It’s important for businesses to consider the implication of publicly revealing gender pay gap figures. Could it have a negative effect on brand reputation or talent acquisition? If so, you need to take steps now to close the gap and minimise the risk.
